First Use/Care Instructions
Eliminate shedding by setting the felted alpaca balls before the first use. Place the balls in the washing machine and run a short cycle using hot water. Place balls in the dryer with a load of laundry.

If the dryer balls become "hairy," carefully trim off the fuzzy hair. Over time, pills may appear on balls which is normal. Shave the pills off or leave them.

Should the dryer balls need to be cleaned, wash them under hot water with a drop of dish soap and rotate in palms to create a lather. Rinse in warm and then cold water. Allow balls to air dry or place in the dryer. 

Dryer balls last most households 2-4 years depending on the amount of laundry that is done.

For those who prefer lightly scented laundry, simply add several drops of your favorite essential oil or oil blends to each dryer ball.  Place dryer balls in the dryer for 1-2 minutes prior to adding laundry to help avoid oil stains on the fabric.
